Harlequin Ducks take off. Shot at 784mm @ f/5.6, 1/1000s, ISO 250
This is a another quick update to my two previous posts about the birds of the north-western British Columbia (the previous post can be found here). The main aim was, as with my previous expeditions to The Great Bear Rainforest, to photograph bears and wolves. However, I did take the opportunity to photograph the region’s beautiful birds when I had the chance.
Great Northern Diver (Common Loon) in splendid spring plumage. Shot at 784mm @ f/5.6, 1/2500s, ISO 450
In my other recent post of this year’s trip I cover the wonderful encounters with Grizzly bears. In addition, further images can be found in the The Great Bear Rainforest gallery section.
I will let the images of birds from this year’s trip do the talking …
Pigeon Guillemot. Shot at 784mm @ f/5.6, 1/2500s, ISO 720
Common Merganser. Shot at 560mm @ f/4, 1/2500s, ISO 1100
